Welcome to the Theatre of Being of Leo – a continuing imaginative and immersive exploration of each of the twelve Zodiac signs.
Every year of our lives, we rhythmically journey through the ambience and themes of twelve Zodiac seasons. Each is a month long sojourn, an unfolding Theatre of Being with a unique backdrop, characters and props. A celestial offering and opportunity to explore a particular facet of Life and being human. We are simultaneously acting and observing. And we know each of these Zodiac essences deep within our bones.
Welcome to the Leo Theatre of Being ( July 22nd – August 23rd 2026 UK). Realm of radiance and wonder. Desire to use ones gifts to lead and inspire in one’s chosen field, as a Good King or Good Queen. Life-journeys of self-discovery, playfulness, adventure, dramatic intensity of life experienced as orbitting and happening all around oneself, inspiring creative self-expression; a nature of nobility, passion, generosity, loyalty, intensity and devotion to what is loved and beloved.
As you are magnetised and enchanted through the Zodiac portal with it’s ancient celestial and mystical carvings, you behold a shining golden landscape. Fields of tall, ripe swaying grain catch the Sun’s rays, sunflowers reaching high with their glowing faces following the Sun’s arc through daytime and bowing their heads by night. Vibrant colours of wild roses, poppies and cornflowers, glowing ruby red luscious fruits. This seasonal ambience is one of grounded/steady radiance, the stability and completion of nature’s growth cycle – with an abundance of Gold. Established and at it’s peak of swelling gold and ripeness, this season is a celebration, an inspiration to truly recognise the wonder of Earth’s bounty, warmed by the Sun and tended by human ‘being’.
Immersing in nature’s radiance, you find yourself standing before a golden archway; a radiant Sun is at it’s zenith, with beautifully crafted wild maned magnificent lions standing as protectors on either side. You pause, basking in the glory, sensing an irresistable pull to become a part of this glowing wonder, a beckoning to remember your own particular essence, your personal glow….to stand a little more upright, to walk with nobility and be proud of who you are. To shine more brightly.
You find yourself spiralling and spinning back through time, into scenes of past memories, playing out upon an inner stage. You remember times of glowing pleasure, of being unequivically YOU. You recall times of holding back, resisting, feeling uncertain and not up to the task. You remember times of gathering courage and braiding it together with your uncertainty and fear. Courage becoming a powerful medicine; an Elixir of Life, embedding into your cellular memory as an imprint. You take courage and step forwards – through the archway into a realm of magnificence and wonder; a vision of splendour, an ornate Theatre with thickly woven ruby red carpet leading to a central throne, awaiting YOU.
You are magnetised into this centre, your spirit of adventure growing, an openness to experience a realm beyond the everyday – a deeper version/vision of YOU. A remembering and re-connection with your Daimon.
Each step carries a magic, an emboldening, a heart-opening. Your posture lifts and becomes more regal. You ascend to the awaiting throne. You feel the weighty sensation of a robe draped around your shoulders, and a crown placed upon your head. Gold, velvet and fur. You wonder at the sense of weight, and gravity. ‘Ah’, you realise, ‘this is a weight of responsibility’ – a gravitational reminder to bring your vital essence into being and bearing in the world – *no more and no less*.
*NO MORE…and NO LESS – this is a bone of truth worth picking over, when considering Leo nature. There is no need to be more than who we are. The light which emanates from a deep heart within us is unique, of it’s own hues interwoven, with it’s very own glow and radiance.
When we are being ourSelf, we are in our element, in our groove, in JOY-FULLNESS.
And there is also no need to be less than who we are, in essence. Yet in this culture, we are encouraged to hide our light under a bushell, to not act like a gift from God, to not shine so brightly in concern that someone else may feel diminished. Oh what a tangled web we have a-woven!! Seeding confusion in our relationship with joy and pleasure and pride in simply who we each are.
You look around you, in this Leo Theatre of Being YOU are in the centre of this realm. Arrayed around you, are slowly orbitting mirror-scenes of memory, of every creative gift you have ever brought into being – childhood drawings, sculptures, stories written. Dreams, imaginations and visions of budding youth made manifest, with an originality, an essence, a glow which birthed from a vibrant seed in the innermost sanctum of your heart-fulness. The way you intuitively responded to someone in need, in your very own creative way. The way you crafted a conversation or presentation with a uniqueness which touched and moved people. The joy of creating – feeling something un-namable, vibrant and precious coursing through your soul-blood and heart bones. Joie de vivre. The particular way you are a parent, the WAY you love. The gifts you bring and give to the world. All of it, small and big, touched and infused by the Gold of who you are as a unique never-to-be replicated-being. You. Just you. And your wonder and magnificence expressing itself, with generosity and the fullness of passion, joyfully into the world as your gift. Your GLOW.
In Leo season we become immersed in the realm/ambience of Fixed Fire. In our human nature, this corresponds to a life-journey of enduring dedication and commitment towards finding, honouring and steadying *Selfhood* And when a layer of Self is discovered, the focus becomes nourishing this, growing strong sturdy roots, from which well-nourished branches may grow and reach into the world, bearing the fruits of the journey and treasure found. And then the grail journey continues; the call to find your personal mission, to discover what you love, what ignites and nourishes your glow, what flows and glows through you and makes you feel truly alive and in love with being you in the world.
*SELFHOOD (or Daimon) – the spark of divinity which animates each person, the radiant Solar centre, the personal Grail, which creative essence which ignites each one of us. When we are in connection with this vital essence, we are filled with a steady glowing radiance of BEING. In our very own way.
We each carry a divine spark, akin to the spark which inspires every new birth and creative endeavour.
And we may show gratitude by attending to this role and aspect of human ‘being’, in our very own unique and creative way. By bearing and carrying this gift, creatively be-sparked, into being. And then to tend it’s Fire, as an eternal torch within us.
